What is roadside assistance?+
Roadside assistance provides support when your vehicle experiences issues such as a flat tyre, battery failure, fuel shortage, lockout or mechanical breakdown.
Is the membership linked to me or to my vehicle?+
Membership is vehicle-centric. Helpline services are linked strictly to the registered vehicle and one membership covers a single vehicle only.
Which vehicles are eligible?+
Vehicles up to 15 years of age are generally eligible for membership. Eligibility also depends on the applicable State Government / RTO regulations, and coverage remains valid as long as the vehicle is legally permitted to operate in the respective state.
How fast will help arrive?+
Our target turnaround time is 29* minutes, with an average response of 25–45 minutes. Delays caused by traffic, weather or civil disruption are outside our control.
How much does towing cost?+
Towing service is available as per your membership package. A minimum towing service charge may apply depending on the towing vendor, vehicle type, location, and service conditions. If the towing distance exceeds the free limit included in your package, additional charges will be applicable at ₹55 per kilometer beyond the included distance.
How much fuel do you deliver?+
Up to 5 liters of petrol or fuel at actual local market cost, subject to local regulations. CNG, LPG and high-octane fuels are excluded. If an electric vehicle's main battery is fully discharged, on-road charging cannot be provided.
What if I don't have an active membership card?+
If service is requested without active card registration or credentials, a non-refundable service charge of Rs. 799.00 applies.
Can I purchase membership online?+
Yes, every membership plan can be purchased online and is activated after registration and payment confirmation.
Is roadside assistance available 24×7?+
Yes. Our helpline operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including Sundays and public holidays. However, services may not be available where government restrictions prevent RSA vehicle movement, including situations such as Republic Day (26 January), Independence Day (15 August), lockdowns, pandemics (such as COVID-19), strikes, curfews, natural disasters, or any other government-imposed restrictions.
Which cities are covered?+
We support 400+ cities and major national highways through 1200+ verified partners. City-limit plans cover the registered city, while PAN India plans cover the whole network. Note: on expressways/highway stretches where government rules do not permit entry to assistance vehicles (no authorised cut, U-turn or access point), service cannot be provided — please call the government highway helpline 1033 there. For detailed coverage information, please use our Coverage Search option available on the website.
Is service available on every highway and expressway?+
Yes, we provide roadside assistance services on highways and expressways wherever RSA vehicle access is permitted. Service availability depends on local regulations and government restrictions. If RSA vehicles are not allowed in a particular area, highway, expressway, or restricted zone, service may not be available there. In such restricted locations please call the official government highway helpline 1033.
Do you provide service in hill areas and during snowfall?+
We cover Jammu & Kashmir, Manali (Himachal Pradesh) and Uttarakhand, but only up to motorable road points. Ladakh and upper/high-altitude hill stretches are not covered. During snowfall — in any city or hill location — assistance cannot be provided until road conditions clear. No claim or refund arises for service that cannot be rendered in such conditions.
How many times can I use roadside assistance?+
Your membership includes the number of free roadside assistance services specified in your selected plan. After the included free service limit is exhausted, additional roadside assistance requests can still be provided, but they will be chargeable according to the applicable service charges. Services are not provided more than twice consecutively for the same fault.
Is towing included?+
Towing is provided as per your membership package. A minimum towing service charge may apply depending on the towing vendor, vehicle type, location, and service conditions. Any distance beyond the free towing limit included in your package will be charged at ₹55 per kilometer.
Is battery jump-start included?+
Yes, on-site battery jump start is included in every plan. Battery replacement parts, if required, are chargeable at actual cost.
What happens if my vehicle cannot be repaired on the spot?+
If the vehicle can be repaired or started at the breakdown location, our technician will attempt to repair or start it on-site. If it cannot be started, we will tow the vehicle to the nearest suitable service center, as per your plan and applicable per-kilometre charges.
Can I use the membership anywhere in India?+
PAN India plans (One Bharat, Family Plus, Family Elite) work across our national network. One City plans are limited to the vehicle's registered city.
Can I cancel my membership?+
Yes. Membership can be cancelled within 30 days from the date of purchase. If any roadside assistance service has been used during those 30 days, a Rs. 799.00 service charge is deducted. GST is non-refundable and is always deducted from the refund amount. Refunds are processed within 90 working days, and the refund can never exceed the amount originally paid for the membership.
Is roadside assistance included with my car insurance?+
Insurer add-ons vary and are usually limited to specific years or events. An OnRoads membership is independent of your insurance and can be used alongside it.
Are commercial vehicles eligible?+
Standard memberships are for private vehicles. Commercial and fleet vehicles are covered under a separate written term sheet — contact our fleet team.
Are electric vehicles supported?+
Yes, EVs receive towing, tyre, lockout and breakdown support. However, if an electric vehicle's main battery is fully discharged, on-road charging cannot be provided.
What happens if I exceed my free service limit?+
Your membership includes the number of free roadside assistance services specified in your selected plan. After the included free service limit is exhausted, additional roadside assistance requests can still be provided, but they will be chargeable according to the applicable service charges.
What is not covered under standard RSA?+
Standard RSA covers emergency roadside situations such as breakdowns, battery issues, flat tyres, towing, fuel assistance, and similar emergency support. AC repair, dents, scratches, bodywork, horn repair, door or bonnet noises, interior or cosmetic repairs, and other workshop-level repairs are not covered under RSA.
My car has met with an accident — can I use RSA?+
If the vehicle has been involved in an accident and is not in a drivable condition, roadside assistance service will not be provided. The customer must contact their motor insurance company or insurer's claim assistance provider to initiate the insurance claim process and arrange recovery as per the insurance policy terms.
What if I don't have an active membership?+
Service Without Active Membership is available at a non-refundable service charge of Rs. 799.00, plus any actual costs such as towing distance.
