Never restart a stalled engine in water
If your engine stops in standing water, do not crank it again. Water drawn into the cylinders causes hydro-lock and severe engine damage that insurance often disputes. Call for a tow instead.
Before the season starts
A short pre-monsoon check saves most rain-season calls.
- Replace worn wiper blades and top up washer fluid
- Check tyre tread depth for wet grip
- Test all lights and the horn
- Inspect the battery and terminals for corrosion
